About Credit Cards
Bidders are not charged any fees for creating a Proxibid bidder account. A bidder's credit card is used to authenticate their identity when creating an account or registering for auction events. Proxibid runs a $0 dollar authorization to verify the details entered on a bidder's account.
An event's Terms of Sale should be read carefully prior to participating in any event.
Some sellers use Auction Payment Network (APN), Proxibid's secure payment processing solution. These sellers can bill a winning bidder's credit card directly. An orange APN badge will appear on the event's listing when they’re using this payment solution.

Delete a Credit Card
Bidders cannot delete a credit card from their account if the card is tied to a transaction or to an auction event. Cards remain tied to events for 14 calendar days. Bidders can, however, tie the event to a different credit card currently on file, or add a new credit card.
If a bidder cannot or does not want to replace the credit card currently on file with an alternate card, they must wait the full 14 calendar days until the card is no longer tied to the auction event. At that time, the bidder can delete the credit card from their account.

Troubleshooting
Proxibid Not Accepting a Credit Card
There are several reasons Proxibid may not accept a credit card, but in most cases it’s an easy fix. Before adding or updating a credit card, verify that the billing address entered is correct. Consider comparing the information entered to the billing address that appears on a recent statement from the card issuer, or contact the credit card issuer directly to determine which billing address they have on file.
If the billing address and card information entered is correct, please contact the applicable financial institution for further clarification on this issue. They may be able to advise why Proxibid's $0 authorization/verification check was not approved.
