Adding a New Payment Method
Bidders can add a new credit card or bank transfer (ACH) account in two ways:
Checkout Page
If a bidder has received an atgPay invoice, they can click the Pay Now button in the invoice to be taken to the atgPay Checkout page. From the Checkout page, they can select an existing payment method to pay their invoice, or they can add a new payment method.
For information on adding a new credit card, see atgPay: Adding a Credit Card.
For information on adding a new bank account (or verifying an account) for an ACH transfer, see atgPay: Adding a Bank Transfer (ACH) Account.
Payment Info Page
Bidders also have the option to add credit card and bank accounts via the Payment Info page. Bidders can access this page by logging into their MyProxibid account and clicking on either the Payment Info menu on the left side of the page or the Manage Credit Cards link at the bottom of the page.
From the Payment Info page, they can click the Add Credit Card button or the Add Bank Account button to add new payment methods.
For steps on adding a new credit card, see atgPay: Adding a Credit Card.
For steps on adding a new bank account (or verifying an account) for an ACH transfer, see atgPay: Adding a Bank Transfer (ACH) Account.
Editing a Payment Method
An existing payment method cannot be edited. If changes need to be made to an existing payment method, it will need to be deleted and then added again.
Deleting a Payment Method
Bidders can delete an existing payment method by logging into their MyProxibid account and clicking on either the Payment Info menu on the left side of the page or the Manage Credit Cards link at the bottom of the page.
From the Payment Info page, they can click the Remove link below the payment method they wish to delete. The payment method will be deleted immediately.
There is no way to restore a deleted payment method. Instead, the payment method will need to be added again.
Establishing a Default Credit Card
What Is a Default Credit Card?
Whichever credit card has been set as the default in the bidders account is the one that will be used if the bidder is charged via Automatic Payments.
Bidders should read an event's Terms of Sale before participating in any auction event to determine how and when they will be charged for any lots they win.
Setting a Default Credit Card
If a bidder only has one credit card on file, that card will be the default.
If a bidder has multiple credit cards on file, they can set one as the default by logging into their MyProxibid account and clicking on either the Payment Info menu on the left side of the page or the Manage Credit Cards link at the bottom of the page.
From the Payment Info page, they can click the Set as Default link below the credit card. That credit card will immediately be set as the default credit card.
