This article describes the process for resetting the password for a Proxibid bidder account.

Forgot Password
If a bidder is unable to login to their account because they don't remember their password, follow the steps below to establish a new password.
- Go to Proxibid.com.
- Click on the Sign In link in the top right corner of the page.
- Click on the Forgot Password link.
- On the Password Reset page, enter the email address associated with the bidder account and click the Request Password Reset E-Mail button.
- A confirmation message will appear.
- A confirmation message will appear.
- Access the applicable email account. The email will come from support@proxibid.com with a subject line "Proxibid - Password Reset Request".
- In the email, click the Reset Your Password button. This link will open a secure page on Proxibid for creating a new password.
- If the button does not work, the email also contains a full link that can be copied and pasted into a browser window.
- On the Reset Password page, enter the desired new password into the New Password field (ensuring that it meets all the password requirements) and then click on the Reset Password button.
- To view the password as it's being entered, click on the Eye icon in the New Password field.
- A confirmation message will appear. Enter the email address (or username) and the new password, and then click the Sign In button.
Reset Password
If a bidder is already logged into their Proxibid account and simply wishes to update their password, they can do so using the following steps:
- Go to Proxibid.com.
- Click on the Sign In link in the top right corner of the page.
- Select MyProxibid from the drop-down in the top right corner of the page.
- On the Dashboard, click on the Manage Contact Info link located in the Account box.
- Click the blue Edit Password button near the top of the Contact Information tab. A pop-up window will open.
- Enter the account's current password into the Current Password field.
- Enter the desired password into both the New Password and the Confirm New Password fields.
- The password entered must meet the password requirements.
- The password entered into the New Password and Confirm New Password fields must be exactly the same.
- Click the Save Changes button. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the Contact Information tab.
Password Requirements
In keeping with security best practices, Proxibid strongly advises the password be unique and not shared with other website accounts.
Bidder account passwords must:
- Contain at least 8 characters (maximum of 50 characters)
- Contain at least one letter
- Contain at least one number or special character
- Acceptable special characters include: ! @ # $ % * ( ) _ -
Additionally, passwords cannot be the same as the bidder's username.
